Group and Individual Mentoring Sessions started in August 2023 on the NMM Web portal between the onboarded Mentors and Mentees.

On 14th July 2023 NMM orientation and workshop was conducted in online mode for the mentees.

A two-day capacity building workshop was held for the mentors orientation on 31st May and 1st June 2023.

NCTE launched NMM Portal on 31th May 2023. The NMM Portal was launched by Prof. Yogesh Singh, Chairperson, NCTE in the presence of Member Secretary NCTE. The Portal will facilitate the registration and Mentoring interactions of Mentors and Mentees.

National Centre for Teacher Quality (NCTQ) was inaugurated by Sh. Sanjay Kumar IAS, Secretary DoSE&L, GOI on 10th January 2023.

NCTQ is an NDEAR-Compliant platform that will facilitate the Implementation and Monitoring of NPST & NMM.

July 2022

NCTE launched NMM in pilot mode on 29th July 2022 in 30 Central Government Schools  (15 KVs, 10 JNVs, and 5 CBSE).

The intial draft Bluebook was finalized by incorporating the received input and suggestions after due deliberations and this final draft document was submitted to MoE on 31st March 2022.

November 2021

A series of 15 Open House Discussions were conducted across India on the draft Bluebook on Mentoring which was placed on the NCTE website and MyGOV portal on 3rd November 2021.

Deliberations through regular meetings, In house discussions, and Consultative workshops were conducted to develop the draft of Bluebook on Mentoring.

An expert committee was formed on 20th September 2021 to work out the modalities for designing the draft of the NMM Bluebook.

Through the MyNEP 2020 portal, 1839 comments /suggestions were received in April 2021.

MoE, further assigned the responsibility of carrying out this task to NCTE. Accordingly, the following task has been undertaken to develop the modalities of NMM.

National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in Para 15.11 highlights the need for a National Mission for Mentoring (NMM).
