About Yourself: Professor Pankaj Arora is the Chairperson of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Ministry of Education, Government of India. A Professor of Education at the University of Delhi for over twenty-seven years, he has contributed extensively to teacher education through his research, publications, and leadership roles. He has authored nine books and over twenty-five research articles, with specializations in Political Science Pedagogy, Adolescence Education, and Democratic Education. Professor Arora has held key positions including Head and Dean of the Faculty of Education and Dean Students’ Welfare at the University of Delhi. Actively involved in national education reforms, he has been part of several committees for the National Education Policy 2020 and curriculum development.
