About Yourself: Dr. Saroj Kumar Dhal is teaching Sociology at University of Lucknow. Before teaching at Lucknow School of Sociology, he was associated with Symbiosis International University. He earned a P.G. degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University and M.Phil. in Anthropology from University of Delhi and Ph.D. in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics. He has visited California State University, U.S.A, National University of Singapore, Kyoto University and Doshisha University of Japan to present his research papers. He has published many research papers in various journals and edited books. He has also actively involved in various research projects funded by ICSSR, UGC and other International Institutions. His research interests include Migration, Diaspora, Gender,Labor, Development, Tribes and Civil Society.
